Great Britain – Circular Delivery Companies

Between 1865 and 1869, private circular delivery companies operated in Great Britain, offering an alternative means of distributing printed circulars at lower rates than the Post Office. Companies in Edinburgh & Leith, London, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Dundee and other towns produced their own distinctive stamps.

This section presents a collection of illustrated album pages covering circular and parcel delivery stamps, colour trials, printing and perforation varieties, together with historical forgeries and their identifying characteristics.

The pages also document the activities of The Circular Delivery Company Limited and the numerous reproductions associated with its stamps.
